INSTITUT MATERIAUX MICROELECTRONIQUE NANOSCIENCES DE PROVENCE
UMR CNRS - Universités d'Aix-Marseille et Sud Toulon Var
Directeur : Rachid Bouchakour

Resulting from the merging of two laboratories (formerly L2MP and TECSEN), the Institute has been officially launched on January 1st, 2008. More than 300 scientists in physics, chemistry and micro-electronics and engineers or technicians composed its staff. The laboratory has the required expertise for research and education in materials, microelectronics and nanosciences and supports a wide range of programs including modelling, design, architecture, processes, materials and their physico-chemical properties.

IM2NP is run under the joint authority of the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) and two Universities : Université d'Aix-Marseille and Université du Sud Toulon-Var. It is also associated with three Schools of Engineering : Ecole Polytechnique Universitaire de Marseille (Polytech' Marseille), Ecole Centrale de Marseille and Institut Supérieur d’Electronique et du Numérique (ISEN).

Research is performed inside two departments and sixteen teams :
