Hybrid organic-inorganic metal halide perovskites (HOIP) have recently emerged as promising new materials in the field of semiconductors with outstanding performances in optoelectronic devices such as photovoltaic solar cells, light emitting devices (LEDs), photodetectors. To better understand the underlying physical mechanisms driving these properties, we are using a dedicated structural platform developed at CRM2. This platform enables time-resolved structural analysis of single crystals under various external stimuli, including pressure, pulsed laser excitation, and modulated electric fields.

In this presentation, I will provide an overview of the capabilities of our structural platform, and illustrate on selected results obtained on metal halide perovskites, with a focus on their potential for spintronic and light-emission applications.
